Creative Director & New Boundaries

Creative Director. Creativity unrestricted by any boundaries – constantly seeking ways to inspire, be inspired, explore, discover, create.

A man who lives by the philosophy that creativity is not bound by any medium, Jek’s numerous award-winning works are an indication of his belief in motion.

Creative strategy is Jek’s core strength and he is known to constantly push the boundaries of creativity. He also has extensive experience in designing information architecture and user experience for both online projects and gestured-based installations.

Possessing a passion for design and action-scripting as well as being an artist with hands-on experience in production, Jek has conceptualised, designed and directed short animation stories and music videos. His work has been screened at the Animation Film Festival locally, and abroad in Latvia. He has also been profiled in various local and international publications that include TASCHEN Flash Folio, a well-known publisher of art books.

On top of judging some the industry’s promising talents in the interactive category for Crowbar Awards 2009, Jek has continued to share his experience with young talent alongside fellow design industry veterans. Besides being a member of the Temasek Polytechnic School of Design Advisory Committee, he was also invited to share his expertise as an External Examiner for Temasek Polytechnic’s Interactive Media Design students in 2010, and contributed to Singapore Polytechnic’s Visual Communication and Media Design with a Course Review that same year.

His portfolio lists the movers and shakers of industries such BMW Group Asia, MINI, Canon Asia, MSN South East Asia, HBO Asia, Sony Ericsson, Discovery Networks, M1 Singapore, DiGi Malaysia, DTAC Thailand, PLDT Philippines and Citigroup Singapore.

Jek’s fierce passion for his art evokes a love to travel, to experience different cultures and scenes. The formula behind taming this explosive mind? A good serving of whisky.
